The softgel form achieved consistent systemic exposure and has been approved in multiple European markets. Catalent supported formulation development, clinicalphase as well as commercial manufacturing.
This oral dosage form also played a pivotal role in life cycle management: first launched in 2001, the oral formulation provided a differentiated follow-on to the intravenous product, helping to sustain brand value and market share in the face of intravenous generic competition that emerged in 2007.
