UofL Health to lay off 1% of workforce

Louisville, Ky.-based UofL Health is laying off 1% of its workforce — about 150 employees — as part of a broader effort to streamline operations and “modernize” care delivery, the health system confirmed in a statement provided to Becker’s.

UofL Health said the move “will help leverage the strengths and opportunities as a system, by removing duplication to ensure continued investment in patient care, our people and our communities.”

Affected employees have been offered the opportunity to transfer into open roles elsewhere in the organization. UofL Health did not specify which positions were affected or whether any patient-facing roles…
